Announcement Meeting of ISO/IEC JTC1/SC22/WG5 November 6-10, 1995 Ramada Inn San Diego North, 5550 Kearney Mesa Road San Diego, California 92111, USA The next meeting of WG5 will be held at the Ramada Inn San Diego North from 6th to 10th November 1995. Details of booking and travel arrangements appear overleaf. The primary purpose of this meeting is to review the comments submitted with the combined CD registration and approval ballots for Fortran 95, which will end on 28th September 1995, and to determine the necessary action that must be taken to create the DIS. Other major items of business are the maintenance of Fortran 90 and the Varying String Standard (IS 1539-2), agreement on future work plans for the Type 2 TRs approved by WG5 at its Tokyo meeting _ subject to the relevant NPs having been approved by SC22, and the finalising of the major technical requirements for Fortran 2000. This is, therefore, a very important meeting which is expected to determine the shape of Fortran well into the next century, and all member bodies are urged to send a full delegation. Heads of delegations are reminded that both the Convenor and the host (via the local contact, Ted Terpstra _ see overleaf) should be informed of the members of their delegations no later than one month before the start of the meeting. Further information may be obtained from the Convenor: Dr Miles Ellis Director Educational Technology Resources Centre University of Oxford 37-41 Wellington Square Oxford OX1 2JF ENGLAND tel: +44 1865 270528 fax: +44 1865 270527 email: Miles.Ellis@etrc.ox.ac.uk Meeting of SC22/WG5 in San Diego, November 6-10, 1995 Location: Ramada Inn San Diego North 5550 Kearny Mesa Road San Diego California 92111 USA Tel: +1 800 447-2637 (from within USA or Canada only) +1 619 278-0800 Fax: +1 619 277-6585 "The Ramada Inn is located in the heart of San Diego at the corner of Highway 163 and Highway 52.
