The panel's business is normally conducted by e-mail and it meets only when there are issues to be resolved which cannot be decided otherwise; there have been no panel meetings since the last WG5 meeting. One member of the BSI Panel is also an alternate member of J3. JTC1 ballots The BSI votes were "yes" on both FDIS 1539-1 and DTR 19767. British Computer Society Fortran Specialist Group The Fortran Specialist Group collaborates closely with the BSI Fortran Panel and membership of the two bodies overlaps. The Group held two meetings during the year, both of them open to the general public. At one there were various presentations on Fortran 2003 (http://www.fortran.bcs.org/2004/min04.htm); at the second there was a general discussion on requirements for the revision of Fortran 2003 (http://www.fortran.bcs.org/2005/meetingnotes.htm). The British Computer Society has for the third time provided special funding to its Fortran Specialist Group to support members' participation in standards activities; the current project covers the period January 2005 to March 2006.
