ISO/IEC JTC1/SC22/WG5-N1714 RESOLUTIONS OF THE WG5 MEETING ON FEBRUARY 10 TO 15, 2008 IN LAS VEGAS, NV, USA The meeting was attended by the convenor and 19 members, representing six member bodies. Resolutions LV1, LV2 and LV4 to LV7 were approved by unanimous consent and LV8 and LV9 were approved by unanimous acclaim. Resolution LV3 was approved by 13 individual votes to 1 with 4 abstentions and by four member body votes (Canada, Germany, Netherlands, USA) to one (Japan) with one abstention (UK). LV1. Appreciation of J3 That WG5 congratulates the primary development body for its work on constructing the draft Fortran International Standard and for adhering to the agreed schedule. Further it particularly congratulates the Project Editor, Malcolm Cohen, for the high quality of his work. LV2. New Work Item for TR on Enhanced Coarray Facilities That WG5 directs its convenor to submit a proposal to the SC22 secretariat for a new work item for the production of a Technical Report on Enhanced Coarray Facilities once an initial document becomes available. Further, WG5 thanks Bill Long for volunteering to be Project Editor. LV3. Content of Fortran 2008 draft CD That WG5 establishes that the document to be forwarded for draft CD processing is WG5-N1705 as amended according to the decisions made at this meeting, which are principally those shown in document J3/08-131r1. Therefore WG5 directs its Editor to prepare the draft CD, to be known as WG5-N1718, and to forward it to the convenor for processing as shown in the schedules in WG5-N1693 and N1719. LV4. Public Consultation on Fortran 2008 draft CD That WG5 will conduct public consultation on the Fortran 2008 draft CD according to the schedule in WG5-N1719. LV5. Content and processing of TR on Enhanced Coarray Facilities That WG5 declares that the content of the Technical Report on Enhanced Coarray Facilities in Fortran is as shown in document J3/08-131r1. Further, WG5 expects the TR to be published during the second quarter of 2011. LV6. Technical Corrigendum 3 for Fortran 2003 That WG5 records its intent to produce a third Technical Corrigendum for Fortran 2003 no later than June 2008. LV7. Future Meeting That WG5 thanks the member body of Japan for offering to host the WG5/J3 meeting to be held in Tokyo on November 16 to 21, 2008. LV8. Vote of Thanks for Support That WG5 thanks J3 for so generously providing financial support for the meeting and for the social event. LV9. Vote of Thanks That WG5 expresses its appreciation to the convenor (John Reid), the secretary (Steve Morgan) and the drafting committee (chaired by David Muxworthy) for their contributions to the success of the meeting.
