ISO/IEC JTC1/SC22/WG5 N1795 Announcement Meeting of ISO/IEC JTC1/SC22/WG5 February 15-19, 2010 Las Vegas, USA The next meeting of WG5 will be held in Las Vegas, USA. OBJECTIVES OF THE MEETING The major items of business for this meeting will be: A. Review the Final CD Ballot comments on Fortran 2008, decide on changes, and construct a response document. B. Review the draft TR on further interoperability of Fortran with C and decide on changes. C. Consider the defect reports (interpretations) in J3-006. D. Construct a draft Fortran annex for the TR on "Guidance to Avoiding Vulnerabilities in Programming Languages through Language Selection and Use". 2. ORGANIZATION OF THE MEETING At the start on Monday, this will be a normal WG5 meeting. For the rest of the time, the meeting will be a joint meeting with J3. Much of the time will be spent in sub-groups of all the delegates present. There will also be plenary sessions, either of WG5 with John Reid in the chair or of J3 with Dan Nagle in the chair. The exact timings will be agreed between John and Dan from day to day. Closing business for both J3 and WG5 will be on Friday. Since this is a 4 1/2 day meeting, there will be no excursion and delegates should expect important business to continue until 1200 on Friday. 3. DOCUMENTS It is essential that all delegates have access to the Fortran 2003 DIS (04-007), the Final Committee Draft for the revision of Fortran 2003 (N1791), the defect reports (J3-006), and and the latest draft of the TR on Vulnerabilities at the meeting. Delegates should also bring all documents from N1767 onwards. 4. LOCAL ARRANGEMENTS The local host will prepare a separate document (N1796) with details of local arrangements. 5. REGISTRATION Heads of delegations are reminded that the names of those who will be in their delegations should be communicated to both the Convener and the hosts no later than one month before the start of the meeting. 6.
