ISO/IEC JTC1/SC22/WG5 N2170 RESOLUTIONS OF THE WG5 MEETING ON AUGUST 5 TO 9, 2019 IN TOKYO, JAPAN The meeting was attended by the convenor and 19 members from five countries. Resolutions T1 to T4 were approved by unanimous consent. Resolutions T5 to T10 were approved by unanimous acclaim. T1. Content of Fortran 202x WG5 directs J3 to prepare a revision of the present Fortran Standard that is limited to the feature defined in WG5-N2167 by UK-01 and the following features listed in WG5-N2165: US-01 US-02 US-03, split only US-04 to US-21, inclusive US-22, replaced if necessary by US-26 US-23, without BITS type US-27 T2. Content of Fortran 202y WG5 directs J3 to develop the feature listed in WG5-N2165 as US-24 with the intention that it be included in the revision of the Fortran Standard that follows the next revision. T3. Strategic Plan for WG5 WG5 adopts the Strategic Plan in WG5-N2171. T4. TR on Avoiding Vulnerabilities in Programming Languages WG5 requests Dan Nagle, as editor of TR24772-8 'Guidance to Avoiding Vulnerabilities in Programming Languages - Part 8 Fortran', to progress the document to DTR ballot status during the next year and encourages members to contribute to the development. T5. Future Meetings WG5 thanks Bill Long for offering to host the next WG5 meeting in Minneapolis, MN, 22-26 June 2020 and thanks Nathan Sircombe for offering to host the following WG5 meeting in Manchester, UK, 21-25 June 2021. T6. Vote of Thanks to Drafting Committee WG5 expresses its appreciation to the convenor (Steve Lionel), the secretary (John Reid) and the drafting committee (Daniel Chen, John Reid (chair), Dan Nagle, Magne Haveraaen, and Masayuki Takata) for their contributions to the success of the meeting. T7. Vote of Thanks for Refreshments and Dinner WG5 thanks IPSJ/ITSCJ on behalf of JISC for generously providing refreshments for participants at the meeting, and for the excellent dinner on Wednesday evening. WG5 wishes to especially thank Hidetoshi Iwashita. T8. Vote of Thanks for Facilities WG5 thanks The University of Tokyo, and especially Hiroyuki Sato, for generously providing excellent meeting rooms and IT facilities. The breakout rooms were conveniently located and very helpful for efficient working. T9. Vote of Thanks to David Muxworthy WG5 thanks David Muxworthy for the many WG5 meetings at which he has acted as chair of the Drafting Committee. His very careful and diplomatic wording of the draft resolutions has greatly helped WG5 in its work, particularly when consensus was hard to achieve. He has also prepared several corrigenda with great diligence. T10. Vote of Thanks to Hosts WG5 wishes especially to thank Masayuki Takata and Hiroyuki Sato as co-hosts. The local arrangements were excellent and greatly helped WG5 achieve its objectives.
