ISO/IEC JTC1/SC22/WG5-N2233 RESOLUTIONS OF THE HYBRID WG5 MEETING HELD ON JUNE 27 TO 28, 2024 IN BERKELEY, CA, USA The meeting was attended by the Convenor and 22 members from four national member bodies. Resolutions B1 and B2 were approved by unanimous consent. Resolutions B3 to B8 were approved by unanimous acclaim. B1. Strategic plan for 2023-2028 WG5 confirms the updated strategic plan as defined in document N2232. B2. Development of the next revision of Fortran WG5 directs its primary development body, INCITS/Fortran, to prepare a new revision of the Fortran standard, which should include the items listed as accepted in N2234. B3. Appreciation of INCITS/Fortran WG5 expresses its appreciation to INCITS/Fortran for successfully completing the 2023 Fortran standard, and for refining suggestions for new features for the next revision of Fortran. In particular WG5 again congratulates the Project Editor, Malcolm Cohen, for the high quality and speed of his work, and Reuben Budiardja, for chairing the INCITS/Fortran committee. B4. Appreciation of Steve Lionel WG5 expresses its appreciation to Steve Lionel for maintaining the WG5 website and for ensuring that WG5 documents continue to be publicly available. B5. Reappointment of Steve Lionel as WG5 Convenor WG5 congratulates Steve Lionel for his reappointment as WG5 Convenor, and looks forward to his continued success. B6. Future meetings WG5 thanks Jeff Hammond for offering to host the summer 2025 WG5 meeting at CSC in Helsinki, Finland. B7. Meeting host WG5 thanks Damian Rouson for hosting the WG5 meeting at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and thanks his colleague Kate Rasmussen for arranging for provision of the meeting rooms, audio-visual facilities, and refreshments. B8. Vote of thanks for support of the meeting WG5 expresses its appreciation to the Convenor (Steve Lionel), the Secretary (Lorri Menard) and the Drafting Committee (Daniel Chen, Tom Clune, John Reid, and Masayuki Takata) for their contributions to the success of the meeting.
