Opening business 2.1 Introductory remarks from the Convenor The convenor welcomed both local (in-person) and remote participants to the meeting. 2.2 Reminder of the ISO Code of Ethics and Conduct The convenor reminded participants of the ISO Code of Ethics and Conduct, available at https://www.iso.org/files/live/sites/isoorg/files/store/en/PUB100011.pdf 2.3 Welcome from the Host Damian Rouson welcomed local participants to the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. 2.4 Local arrangements Kate Rasmussen explained the arrangement for the meeting. 2.5 Appointments for this meeting Drafting committee: Tom Clune (Chairman) Masayuki Takata, Daniel Chen, John Reid Librarian: Steve Lionel Secretary: Lorri Menard 2.6 Adoption of the Agenda N2229 The agenda was adopted. 3. Matters arising from the Minutes of the 2023 meeting (N2226) Steve Lionel reported that the documentation font issues with the ISO editors was postponed for the 2023 standard, and will be recognized for the next standard. This means the committee was able to publish the 2023 standard in calendar year 2023 4. Status of 2023 Resolutions (N2225) Paragraph numbers in programming language standards Latest ruling from ISO allows paragraph numbers. Availability of Working Group documents No change Requirements for Fortran 202y This meeting will be considering more items from Japan, Germany and US TR on Avoiding Vulnerabilities in Programming Languages John Reid reported there has been a vote on the full document, but that the Fortran annex has not yet been voted on. 5. Reports 5.1 SC22 Matters (Convenor) Other SC22 committees are also taking issue with recent rulings from ISO editors. 5.2 National Activity Reports Japan: N2217 is output of activity Canada: No report UK: No report Germany: B2230 DIN feature request US: Continues to hold 3 meetings a year working F202y Unfortunately we lost Reinhold Bader (representative from Germany) John Reid to see if there's someone to take his place 5.3 Report from Primary Development Body (INCITS/Fortran Chair) INCITS/Fortran continues to work actively on all aspects of the Fortran standard. 5.4 Reports from other Development Bodies (Editors/Heads) No report this meeting. 5.5 Liaison Reports Liaison reports were presented under INCITS/Fortran business. 6. WG5 Business and Strategic Plans 6.1 Goals for 2024-2026 Publish standard by EOY2028, final choice of content by 06/24 Recessed 1600 June 27, 2024 ============================================================== Reconvene 0830 June 28, 2024 7. Update work item list for the next revision ("202Y") Proposal to create new category "Conditionally accepted" on the work list was adopted unanimously. The list of items in N2234 (from N2220 + additional) was agreed. 8.
